Michai Crump

Michai Crump is a strong, active interior defensive lineman who wins by playing forward through contact and compressing the point of attack. He consistently holds his ground against interior blocks, closes rushing lanes and stays involved as runs collapse near the line of scrimmage. His get-off allows him to attack gaps rather than catch blocks, while his ability to separate and uncover keeps him connected to the ball. As a pass rusher, he carries power into the pocket, works through traffic and closes when a path to the quarterback develops.

Crump also shows good movement skills for an inside defender, redirecting down the line and extending pursuit outside the original fit. He plays with steady effort through congested finishes and has the range to arrive at tackles away from his alignment. Continuing to sharpen the timing and variety of his rush counters would help him create cleaner wins before contact becomes prolonged. More consistent hand placement could further maximize his natural power. Overall, he is a sturdy, disruptive interior presence with a dependable run-first foundation.
