ELITE
Top-tier performance with elite traits demonstrated on film.
A position-specific evaluation of what a player demonstrates on film.
ATS Film Grades provide a standardized way to evaluate high school football players based on the traits they demonstrate on their available film. Every athlete receives an overall Film Grade on a 100-point scale.
Top-tier performance with elite traits demonstrated on film.
High-level performance with excellent traits consistently demonstrated.
Strong performance with several quality traits demonstrated on film.
More strengths than weaknesses with dependable, productive traits.
Adequate performance for the evaluated level with room to grow and develop.
Below-average performance across important areas with development needed.
Significant areas of concern are visible on film and substantial development is required.
Football positions require different skills. ATS does not evaluate a quarterback using the same criteria as a running back, offensive lineman, linebacker, or defensive back.
Each ATS position has its own evaluation scorecard built around the traits that matter for that position.
The detailed scorecards, weighting, scoring matrix, and calculations are part of the proprietary ATS Network Evaluation System.
Highlight film does not always show every part of a player's game. When the available film does not provide enough evidence to fairly evaluate a particular trait, ATS marks that category N/E — Not Enough Evidence.
An N/E is not treated as a zero.
ATS will not give a player a poor rating for something the film simply does not show.
Every ATS Film Grade can also include a Film Confidence Level. Film Confidence tells you how complete the evaluation is based on the amount of relevant evidence available on the player's film.
Most or all position-specific traits could be evaluated.
Enough film was available for a meaningful evaluation, but some traits could not be fully evaluated.
Several important traits were not sufficiently demonstrated on the available film.
An athlete can have an elite ATS Film Grade while projecting to a different college level because physical measurables, positional standards, academics, and other factors can affect collegiate opportunities.
The Film Grade remains independent of recruiting offers, star rankings, school reputation, and recruiting hype.
These factors do not determine an ATS Film Grade. The Film Grade is intended to reflect what ATS evaluators can actually observe on the player's available film.
ATS Film Grades represent the independent scouting opinions of ATS Network evaluators based on the film and information available at the time of evaluation.
Evaluations may change when additional film, verified information, or more complete evidence becomes available.
ATS Film Grades and College Projections are informational evaluations and are not guarantees of recruiting offers, scholarships, roster opportunities, admissions decisions, or future athletic performance.
The ATS Evaluation System, including its position-specific scorecards, category weighting, scoring matrices, conversion methodology, and internal evaluation standards, is proprietary to ATS Network.
