About
Shaheem “Coach Shah” Burnett is the Head Varsity Football Coach at Cardinal Spellman High School, his alma mater. A 2011 Spellman graduate, Coach Burnett was a three-sport athlete in football, lacrosse, and track before continuing his athletic career at Fitchburg State University, where he competed in all three sports.
Coach Burnett joined the Cardinal Spellman coaching staff in 2018 and has served in multiple roles throughout the program before becoming Head Coach in 2025. His coaching experience also extends beyond football, including successful head coaching roles in girls lacrosse (23-4-1) and flag football bring Sacred Heart to its first championship in their inaugural season.
With a passion for developing young athletes, Coach Burnett emphasizes discipline, accountability, hard work, and preparing student-athletes for success both on and off the field.
